Start Meditating

Since ages, meditation has been linked with the development of a better relationship with yourself. Start meditating to forge a deeper bond with your own core. Meditating for fifteen minutes only when you wake up every day will bring about unimaginable changes in you. Also, it will help you become more productive and efficient, not to mention, focused! 11 Secret Benefits of Meditation

Be Confident, Appreciate Yourself

Your body is WONDERFUL! Learn to respect it, honour it and take care of it. It is a mutually benefiting relationship. It cares for you, so you care for it. Appreciate yourself with some mirror prep-talk, walk with panache, keep your head high. You are beautiful.

Create a List.

You should list all the things your body does for you. The number of points on it may surprise you. You will get up from your desk feeling grateful and appreciating yourself way more than before. So, go ahead, try it.

Wear Good, Comfortable Clothes

This is important. Wear what you are comfortable in, what makes you look the best. This was, every time you look in the mirror and see yourself rocking that outfit, you will feel better about yourself.

Count Your Blessings

A wise person once said, what you should count are your blessings, not your blemishes. Realize that you are truly blessed to have this body, all the well-functioning organs, that skin that replaces itself so often, those blood cells that work day and night to keep you from illnesses and also die for you. Every inch of your body is dedicated and working to keep you alive and happy. Beat that.

Get Self Help Books and Seek Therapy

Get self-help books to combat your insecurities. Here are some books that people swear by:

  • Aim True: Love Your Body, Eat Without Fear, Nourish Your Spirit, Discover True Balance! By KATHRYN BUDIG
  • The Gifts of Imperfection: Let Go of Who You Think You’re Supposed to Be and Embrace Who You Are by BRENE BROWN
  • Mastering Your Mean Girl: The No-BS Guide to Silencing Your Inner Critic and Becoming Wildly Wealthy, Fabulously Healthy, and Bursting with Love by MELISSA AMBROSINI

If these don’t help, consider seeking therapy.

Learn Not to be Influenced by Other’s Opinion of You

You really need to stop paying heed to what others say about you. Dogs bark, but the caravan goes on. Turn a blind eye to unnecessary criticism. You know what is right for you. Do right by yourself.

Stop Blaming Yourself

You need to stop blaming yourself and your body for every bad thing that happens in your life. Learn to not make your body accountable for every time things did not go your way. You are doing more harm to yourself every time you repeat such behaviour. Be gentle.

The Scale and Size Do Not Define You

Stop letting your body weight and your shape be definitive of what you are. We have all learned not to judge a book by its cover. Think about all the influential people you know of. Did their weight and shape define who they there, did it ever stop them from reaching these heights?

Don’t Be Mean to Yourself.

Be kind to yourself. The kindest. Love yourself. Truly appreciate what you have. Learn to honour your body and respect it, care for it. And it will love you back, the way it always has, unconditionally.

Reach Out for Help

If you feel that your negativity is spiralling out of control, reach out for help. Call your country’s helpline and avoid any disasters. Here are a few helplines for India-

  • Roshni +914066202000
  • Cooj +918322252525
  • Sneha Foundation India +914424640050

Remember: You are Extraordinary!

The probability of you being born was one amongst four hundred trillion. Let that sink in. You are one in a trillion.

It Is All About Positivity

There are immense benefits of optimism on a person’s psychological and physiological wellbeing. Don’t let trivial things bring you down and learn to avoid people’s negative comments. Give yourself a pep talk every day. Love what you see in the mirror. You are pulchritudinous.

Your Surroundings Matter

This is actually one of the most important points out here. Your company should be supportive and self-loving. Don’t surround yourself with people who do not respect their bodies and judge as well as trash themselves and others. You deserve better than that, and you ARE better than that. make friends who support your, respect and love you for who you are, not for the way you look.

Exercise and Eat Well

Exercising releases endorphins like serotonin, dopamine as well as testosterone which make you feel better and happier. They are natural mood elevators. Exercising more often leads to a significant decrease in anxiety and level of depression. Post-exercise high is a (very) real thing and it has immense benefits.

Something as easy as brisk walking to a couple of minutes to regulate your heart rate and make you feel better. Also, don’t forget to eat well. Ditch that junk food, it has psychological ill effects too. Inculcate more fruits in your diet.

Love yourself. You are beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. Remember our talk about the odds of your existence? You are a miracle. Enjoy life, it is too short to be sad pointlessly. Be happy, be you.

If you love your body, share this article with your friends and let them know that they are beautiful inside out. Thank you.  ☺️
