Many of us believe that the rain is distilled and pure and brings in relief but it is not this rain that includes all the pollutants and the dirt. The pollution from vehicle, Industries goes up into the air, and when the first run showers it brings all those hazardous chemicals down back to the ground which affects us in various ways.
This rain is called Acid Rain, as this rain falls on trees, it makes them loose leaves and also stops their growth. Thus affecting the natural habitats. This acid rain also affects the building and monuments like the Taj Mahal etc which is made up of white limestone turning into black. Acid rain also has an indirect effect on our health too.
As it is said Prevention is better than cure, we should prevent these harmful effects on us before it gets worse. Water pipelines should be coated appropriately so that this acidic rain does not enter these pipes. Do the liming of lakes and soils so that this acid does not get mixed with it. Restore a damaged environment, monuments, buildings, etc. Use alternative energy sources like Natural gas, Fossil fuels. Use public transport whenever possible, use energy-efficient machines or appliances.
